About Us
The bees found us, and they never left.
A wild swarm showed up looking for a home, and somewhere between the panic and the wonder, we fell head over heels. They stayed. We caught the bug (the bee bug, specifically), and The Tended Hive was born.
Master beekeepers. Master gardeners. Amateur enthusiasts for everything else.
We're proud to hold certifications as Master Beekeepers and Master Gardeners, which basically means we've spent a lot of hours getting stung, dirt under our fingernails, and falling more in love with pollinators every season. But don't let the titles fool you. At the end of the day, we're just deeply, unapologetically obsessed with bees, blooms, and everything they make possible.
Good food. Good wine. Good company.
We believe the best things in life grow slowly and taste better shared. A jar of local honey drizzled over warm bread. A glass of wine on the porch as the sun goes down. Neighbors, friends, and the occasional curious stranger gathered around a table. That's the world we're building one hive at a time, and we'd love for you to pull up a chair.
Why We Do This
Bees pollinate roughly a third of everything we eat, working tirelessly and asking for very little in return, and their numbers are struggling. The Tended Hive exists to change that story, one conversation, one jar, one curious kid peering into an observation hive at a time.
Our mission is simple:
-
Share The Wonder
Share our love of bees, because wonder is contagious.
-
Raise Awareness
Help people understand the outsized role pollinators play in our food and world.
-
Support Local
Champion local honey and local beekeepers — because supporting the hive down the road matters.
Come Find Us
